A 30-Minute Photo Shoot

While preparing for a mini photo shoot today (which, as always, was spontaneous), I stumbled upon an item that I hadn’t paid much attention to before: my reflector’s black case. It occurred to me that it would make a great backdrop for a few self-portraits. 

I’ve always wanted to create portraits that look like they’ve been taken in a studio. Sue Bryce and Els Vanopstal have created incredible portraits using very simple backdrops and outfits. Their work instantly came to mind when I saw that case in a new light. 

It took me around half an hour to take these photos:
